Please join us for the December Willamette Valley Luncheon! Presenters Jason Nuckols and Ryan Kilgren will share details and experiences with the Willamette Confluence Project. The luncheon will be held December 12, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Kowloon Restaurant in Eugene.
The Willamette Confluence project was intended to enhance and restore floodplain habitats, accessibility for fish and natural geomorphic processes to the confluence area of the Coast and Middle forks of the Willamette River.The site covers 1,300 acres of wetland, riparian, and upland habitats and spans more than six miles of river frontage. The four phases of restoration construction (Pudding Ponds, Lower Middle Fork, Coast Fork, and Turtle Flats) were completed over three summers. The project was undertaken by the Nature Conservancy, in association with Rivers to Ridges Partners and Tetra Tech.
The cost if $15 and includes a Chinese lunch buffet and gratuity. However, RSVPs are critical for luncheon organizers and the restaurant. RSVP by emailing EugeneAPWALuncheon@ci.eugene.or.usby December 11, 2017.
